CHAMPAIGN — Mahomet-Seymour will join many other area bands Saturday when it competes in the Illinois Marching Band Championships at the University of Illinois’ Memorial Stadium.
M-S has always been well represented there, having been named the Governors Grand Champion winner for the top band in classes 1A-3A — something it has accomplished 12 times.
Like other schools, M-S has seen marching band numbers bounce back in recent years following the COVID-19 pandemic.
